For the first time ever, Canadians will now have an online listing service where they can buy and sell firearms. The site will also be a home for listings of airguns, bows, and other hunting related items. Launching September 1st GunAddicts.com will give gun enthusiasts the option to buy and sell online as opposed to having to go to gun shows. Canada has long been a country where fire arms have been very popular especially in rural areas. GunAddicts.com will have a normal fixed price listing section plus the ability to do auction style sales. One of the most interesting aspects of the site is that they will have no membership fees, no listing fees, and no buyer or seller fees.
The free ecommerce service looks to be supported by fire arm and hunting related products as well as numerous gun clubs and shooting associations across Canada. You may think that this site sounds like an easy way for people in Canada to get their hands on fire arms, but in fact it looks to be quite the opposite. It is not an Ebay for guns where anyone can go on any buy or sell items. Any exchanges that occur on the site must follow all federal gun rules. Despite fire arm ownership being high in Canada, the country does not average anywhere near the amount of violent crimes the US does involving fire arms. Some think that this may be because so many rural residents are the owners of fire arms which are primarily used for hunting or target shooting. It is also almost impossible to obtain a permit to carry a concealed handgun in Canada, which also helps in reducing violent crimes with fire arms.

I hate Ebay! They contain way too many fees. Ran me out of business. When they first opened, I did $20,000 a month with them. Now, fees are so high, I try to sell on ebay alternative sites now. Ebay lost my business totally!
