Coupon code hunting online is growing increasingly popular as consumers are becoming smarter shoppers who want to get the best deal they can on everything they purchase. CouponFollow.com is the newest site on the scene that savvy shoppers are checking out to see if it will help them find the coupons they need. The way CouponFollow works is by tracking and aggregated Twitter activity relating to coupon codes in real-time, so consumers can quickly see which are the most popular. Twitter can be very difficult to search as there are so many users who flood the results with a variety of tweets, making it hard to find the exact coupon information needed. CouponFollow analyzes the data to make sure that it is providing you the most relevant coupon codes for Internet retailers.

The website is now open to browse for coupons, but you have to log in with your Twitter account if you would like to add new coupon codes to the site or vote on other codes. There are other players in the space like RetailMeNot.com, CouponCabin, and Ebates, but CouponFollow is unique in that it is based off Twitter as the primary means to vote and submit codes. Email and Facebook submissions are also possible, but without a doubt, Twitter is the go-to source for most users of the new website. Since the recent launch, there have already been over 25,000 tweets revolving around coupon and discount codes. CouponFollow hopes the Twitter integration will build a viral following with the recession shopper who is very methodical about their purchases and always wants a deal.
