As a new site in a sea of ecommerce buy and sell sites, it will be interesting to see what Rothman plans to do to set Glyde apart from the competition. Competitors like Amazon’s Marketplace or eBay have a more extensive product catalog, hyper competitive pricing, and a more streamlined checkout processes for those who are ready to buy what they have in their shopping cart.
Many industry insiders are watching Glyde to see what they have coming in the future to differentiate themselves from the pack. Most feel that the selling side of the site will be the big draw as it makes it so simple to sell any of your used media which you no longer have a need for at your home.
