Internet retail giant, Amazon.com, has decided to officially start Black Friday today on Monday four days before the actual day. It is believed by many that Amazon is looking to take even more market share away from Wal-mart who has typically been the leader for Black Friday deals. That is why they have started today, seeing as Wal-mart already has had their official Pre-Black Friday sale going on since November 20th. The shopping holiday has traditionally been an in store event where people line up outside of major retailers to rush inside for a chance to get the deals they want. The penetration on broadband internet access has made it easy for consumers to shop online from the convenience of their own home. It has also made it easier and more cost effective for retailers to offer amazing Black Friday deals online to help increase their fourth quarter sales. This is why Wal-mart should be worried about Amazon, as they have long been the leader for online retail sales and have a loyal customer following, which is tough to beat. Amazon has some excellent products on sale starting today, but only while supplies last.
