The Victoria’s Secret fashion show is one of the most talked about events around the holiday season, outside of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Everyone looks forward to seeing the massive runway show event, all of the amazing models, and the high end lingerie. Victoria’s Secret models are well known as some of the most beautiful in the world, which is a big draw for many to tune in and watch. It was filmed in New York City in late November and aired yesterday on CBS to the eyes of millions of viewers. World renowned super model Heidi Klum was the host of the show, and had stated to the press that she was not in optimal lingerie shape after just recently having a baby. Most men and women would argue that statement as she looked amazing on stage while she hosted the Victoria’s Secret fashion show.
One of the most spectacular pieces of the entire Victoria’s Secret fashion show was a $3 million Fantasy Bra worn by breathtaking Marisa Miller. This fancy bejeweled bra has over 150 carats of sparkling allure across 2,300 individual diamonds. The bra was also adorned with a show stopping 16-carat heart-shaped diamond pendant. In 2006 when the economy was a bit better, there was a very high end Hearts on Fire Diamond Fantasy Bra which was worth an estimated $7 million. While the economy may be slowing things down a bit, this show is still a kick off point for Victoria’s Secret fans to be reminded to shop for holiday gifts. Similar to the Superbowl commercials and how they drive users to flock to the websites or brick and mortar stores, the Victoria’s Secret fashion show creates an unmatchable buzz each year for the brand. No lingerie fashion brands come even close to putting on a show this large and noteworthy. Only time will tell if December sales for Victoria’s Secret will be strong as a result of the fashion show.
