The apparel ecommerce niche is growing extremely fast, with more sites and online fashion technologies popping up every week trying to earn a piece of the business. Fits.me has come out with a new ecommerce tool for apparel sites that dramatically improves the basic experience of using a size chart. Trusting that clothes will fit you because it is your size does not always hold true, so Fits.me created technology to better simulate the real world process of trying on clothes in a fitting room. This process gives consumers a much more flexible shopping experience as they can try on three sizes quickly with their technology to determine which size fits best for their body shape. When a consumer comes to an ecommerce apparel site using Fits.me technology, they enter their body measurements which then allows them to see the fit of a clothing item as if they were in a real fitting room. The improved experience should not only reduce returns, but will increase ecommerce sales for apparel sites because consumers will have help with their shopping decisions thanks to the Fits.me bio-robotics solution.

The Fits.me solution is becoming so popular that it recently was awarded first prize among the European technology companies competition in Brussels, Plugg. As more apparel sites use Fits.me-like technology, we will see more clothing sales shift to ecommerce sites versus traditional brick and mortar stores. Consumers using a robotic mannequin powered by Fits.me allows it to morph to replicate any body shape and size, thus making anyone who shops for clothes online a much happier customer. Now you can try on hundreds if not thousands of clothing options with much more precision and accuracy, all from the convenience of your home without having to change your clothes one time. Not only does this save time for consumers, but they save money by not commuting to numerous stores to find the perfect fit. This technology is similar to augmented reality which sites like Tobi.com use, but it is more accurate because it takes all the measurements into account.
