CoreCommerce is a powerful ecommerce solution that frequently updates their software, so that merchants can have the most current tools and features to help them become successful as an online business. Updates from CoreCommerce to their ecommerce software solution typically come every 7 to 8 weeks, where they add a handful of new features and tools. Last week they debuted their newest update, CoreCommerce 7.9 which is now available for merchants to start using right away. One of the big additions in CoreCommerce 7.9, is the integration with email marketing company Constant Contact, which is an industry leader in the email space. Online businesses powered by CoreCommerce can now use Constant Contact to keep track of their customers and all of their ordering information, allowing them to launch various targeted email marketing campaigns to help increase sales.
In addition to integration with Constant Contact email marketing, there were also many new features added in the CoreCommerce 7.9 ecommerce solution. Merchants now have more store design templates to choose among, lightbox effect for photos, a new order source report, and the ability to batch approve/delete product reviews. Nextag product feed support was also added in CoreCommerce 7.9, so merchants can now easily push their products to the Nextag comparison shopping engine. CoreCommerce already supports a wide array of payment gateway providers, but they added a few more which include Merchant e-Solutions, IMSP Gateway, and Quantum AIM Emulator Gateway.
There are also two great changes for SEO in the new CoreCommerce 7.9 ecommerce software solution for merchants. The first is the HTML URL improvements which were made so that the URL’s can be cleaner, and no longer have a random number which was appended to the url string. On top of this, CoreCommerce now has canonical URL support, which allows search engines to ignore duplicate content on the site and only be concerned with the canonical URL. Overall merchants should be pleased with this CoreCommerce update, and if a feature they want is not included, then it is very possible that it will be part of CoreCommerce 8.0.
