spain wins world cupThe first ever Spain World Cup win is generating tremendous excitement, as fans welcomed the victorious team back home today with a massive fiesta. Spain won the game 1-0, after an extra time goal from midfielder Andres Iniesta in the 116th minute. Fans started the party last night and continue today, which means more money is being spent throughout the country. This World Cup win comes at the perfect time for Spain, who has been struggling to deal with a debt crisis and 20 percent unemployment. It was reported that ABN Amro Bank NV economist, Hein Schotsman, stated last week that “winning the World Cup could add 0.25 percentage point to annual economic growth.” People in the country will have added confidence now, allowing them to feel better about spending more money locally and online.

Shortly after the Spain World Cup win, fans were frantically searching online for information about Iniesta’s shirt. This is because he stripped off his Spain World Cup jersey in the 116th minute after his goal, and let fans see his shirt which said “Dani Jarque is always with us.” Dani Jarque was a former defender for the team who died after suffering a heart attack in August of 2009. Not only were fans looking for information about Iniesta’s shirt, but they were also searching for his jersey and for “Spain World Cup jersey”. This win will hopefully boost the economy in Spain as well as ecommerce sales throughout the world as fans in Spain and across the world shop for something to remember the first ever World Cup win for the country.
