It seems a bit odd that just days after Amazon announced the sale of their new third generation Kindle ereader, they happen to already be completely sold out of both versions of the product. Amazon had recently reported how well their ereader had been selling since they lowered the price, which assumes that they would have anticipated strong sales of the third generation Kindle. However the new Kindle is now sold out, and consumers will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the new WiFi-only version or the standard 3G + WiFi version of the ereader. Now Amazon will be taking orders for the Kindle ereader, with an estimated ship date of September 4 or earlier. Consumers should note that they are being sold on a first come basis, so the sooner you order, the better your chance will be at receiving a Kindle when their inventory is replenished.
Not only is the Amazon Kindle ereader sold out in the United States, but the device is no longer available in the United Kingdom either. The ereader craze has been picking up this year, and the changes to the size, technology, and price of the new Kindle have quickly made it a hot seller. Currently the $139.00 WiFi only version of the ereader is the #1 most wished for electronics item at Amazon, with the $189.00 WiFi + 3G version coming in as the second most wished for electronics item. As more consumers get their hands on the Kindle, it is sure that the shift to digital reading and ebooks will continue.

The Kindle is fantastic! I don’t know what others are saying, but I like mine.
