It was only thirty-three years ago today when the world found out that American singer and cultural icon, Elvis Presley, had died at the age of 42. Last night, Elvis fans from around the world gathered at Graceland Manor in Memphis, Tennessee, as a memorial to the singer. Fans have been gathering since the year after Elvis Presley’s death at Graceland Manor for a celebration of the career and life of the singer. Now it has turned into a grand event that lasts the entire week preceding the anniversary of his death. Today the Internet is buzzing with people searching for information about Elvis Presley, which has also resulted in variety of memorabilia going up for sale on eBay. Things are really heating up this morning, as every few minutes a couple new Elvis related eBay listings are going live, and just today as of 9am PST there were already over 300 new listings.
Since Elvis Presley’s death in 1977, Graceland Manor has become the second most-visited private home in America, trailing only to the White House.
