Fans of World of Warcraft (WOW) have been waiting for over a year for the upcoming expansion dubbed World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, which was first announced in August of 2009 at BlizzCon. The excitement is building after an announcement was made early this month about the official pricing and content included in the Collectors Edition of WOW: Cataclysm. While the official release date has still not been confirmed, Blizzard Entertainment expects to ship the game later this year. With the holiday shopping season nearing, it is key for Blizzard to get the game out soon so it can capitalize on the increase in online shopping during the fourth quarter. Fans are already eager to get their hands on the Collectors Edition of WOW: Cataclysm, as it is currently the #2 best selling video game on Amazon. This version of the game is priced at $79.99, and comes with extras like a Cataclysm art book, soundtrack, and special edition mouse pad. Those who just want the standard edition of WOW: Cataclysm, can pick that up for $39.99 on Amazon.
Another video game rising in popularity over the last couple weeks is Metroid: Other M, which is one of the most anticipated games of the year for the Nintendo Wii gaming system. Metroid: Other M, is priced at $49.99 and is currently ranked at #3 for best selling video games on Amazon, as fans are anxious to get a copy of it when it starts shipping on August 31. Additionally those who pre-order at Amazon will get a $20 credit towards a future video game purchase. One of the more interesting aspects of this new Metroid video game is that you can adjust the Wii remote so that it can switch from a first-person to a third-person perspective.
