Ring the bell, it’s round 2 for UFC’s upcoming Fight for the Troops night, a fundraiser that serves the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF), providing assistance to the men and women in the United States military who have been critically injured during duty and to their families. The special fight card is set to go live on January 22nd at Fort Hood, Texas 9:00pm ET/6:00pm PT on Spike TV showcasing two of the best lightweights in the world, Kenny Florian and Evan Dunham.
In gearing up for the main event, the UFC is also holding an “Ultimate Auction” to continue their efforts to raise funds for the troops. The auction features online bidding for several high-end prizes:
UFC VIP Experience
The winner will win airfare, hotel accommodations, and hang out all weekend with one of their favorite fighters. The winner will have special access to the weigh-ins, locker room time, join the fighter as he walks out to the Octagon on the big fight night, and sit in his corner.
UFC Limited Edition Camaro #2
This car is the second of 10 limited editions made and features a supercharged 650 horsepower engine, custom exhaust, lowering suspension kit, 2000-watt sound system, custom paint and UFC fight glove seats with suede headliner. The first UFC custom Camaro sold at auction for $350,000. The current bid for the second Camaro is sitting at $30,000 and with 18 days left in the auction, there is even more of an opportunity to surpass last year’s final bid.
Private Training Session with Randy Couture and Forrest Griffin
The winner will get to work out with two UFC legends at their world famous gym outside The Las Vegas Strip and smell the sweat of UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture, as well as former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin. The fighters will personally show those winning MMA techniques and maybe the auction winner will even get to take a jab to the face (one could only imagine). Sweep the leg!
Other auction items feature a dinner with the UFC Octagon Girls, a real life Ghost Hunter experience, attendance to the final season of HBO’s “Entourage” Season 8 premier, and more. Last year’s event raised over 4 million dollars for the troops and provides a unique opportunity for UFC fans to experience the Octagon as well as provide aid to the IFHF. Interested bidders have now until January 23 to get a taste of this charitable action.
