If you have some html and css knowledge then you will dig Viart. Been using it for almost 2 years and not many complaints over that time. Had a couple hiccups early on, but got them worked out.

You need to make sure your server can support some of the needs of this cart. If it cannot, then you need to prioritize what's more important: your server, or a shopping cart with great features.

The product is great, the support is subpar. I can't stand the forum because nobody really answers any questions. The phone support is to "salesmany." Urgh.

Templates are table based which is not that great for search engines or for customization. The plus is that other sites offer free tempaltes for the shopping cart that are HTML / CSS based. They may have improved this, but when I used this shopping cart I couldn't stand the table based layout. If I want something table based I'll join MySpace.

I have tested many free shopping carts and finally decided to pay for one. The free carts just don't give you everything you need to really sell or be proud of your store. I'm proud of my ViArt store.
